A total of 20 songs were composed for the film.Both Asif and Naushad approached Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan with the request of participating in the film's soundtrack, but he refused since he disliked working in films. Asif, asked him to name his fee. Khan quoted a fee of Rs.25,000 per song (at a time when Mangeshkar and Rafi charged Rs. 300–Rs.400 per song), thinking that Asif would send him away. Instead, Asif agreed, and even gave Khan a 50% advance. Surprised and left with no excuse to turn down the offer, he finally accepted.

Mughal-E-Azam (1960)

A period epic film directed by K. Asif  which laid history in Indian film Industry. The film featured Prithviraj Kapoor, Dilip Kumar, Madhubala and Durga Khote in pivotal roles.  

Mughal-e-Azam became the most expensive Indian film, It is often cited as one of the best soundtracks in Bollywood history. The music director for the film's soundtrack was Naushad Ali.
The sound tracks were heavily inspired from Indian classical music and folk music.

 Upon release, the film created box office records in India, becoming the highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time, a record it held for 15 years. The film's colour version was released in November 2004 which was a commercial success.
 

Mughal-e-Azam is widely considered a classic, and is often recognised as a milestone in Indian cinema.
The film won numerous awards, notably one National Film Award and three Filmfare Awards.

  It is said that a movie lover bought  poster of Moghul- E- Azam for Rs. 2lakh.

 Bollywood movies and there posters had played a major role in our life.
Few days back I was looking out for a old hindi movie poster and what I got a whole KHAZANA
of it.
I'm presenting this as a UPAHAR to all my filmi fans.

Upahar(1973)
Starring: Jaya Bhaduri,
Swaroop Dutta, Kamini Kaushal.

Beautifully hand drawn poster features a stunning portarit of Jaya Bhaduri-Bachhan with India's great noble prize winning poet , philosopher, artist, writer Rabindranat Tagore.
The film was selected as the Indian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 45th Academy Awards.

This beautifully hand painted Bollywood poster by a well known  designer D. R. Bhosle, will give you a shear 'Anand ' forever.  

The simplicity in strokes and color scheme is fabulous.Specially the colors used for Ashok Kumar is unbelievable.
This is called Master strokes.
Double version film in Hindi and Bengali written and directed by Shakti Samanta, based on a story by Bengali film director and novelist, Sailajananda Mukhopadhyay.

Raja , "King" of realistic paintings

Raja Ravi Varma (1848-1906) was a great artist who brought Indian painting to the attention of the larger world. His magnificent paintings shine still in their undying glory.

Raja Ravi Varma (1848-1906) was born in Kilimanoor Palace as the son of Umamba Thampuratti and Neelakandan Bhattathiripad. At the age of seven years he started drawing on the palace walls using charcoal.

Most of his paintings are based on Hindu epic stories and characters. In 1873 he won the First Prize at the Madras Painting Exhibition. He became a world famous Indian painter after winning in 1873 Vienna Exhibition.

Anand Panchal

Born in Latur in 1973. He graduated in 1997 with a Govt Diploma in Art (drawing & Painting) from Pune. He then got a diploma in 1998 in Art education from Sir J J School of Art.

His paintings have teenaged cowhands stare out at the viewer with large innocent doe like eyes filled with hope.

Anand also addresses the unexplored terrain os Sakhi-bhava,,where young girls are bound by the sisterhood of a shared destiny.

He also features the cow and the goats symbols of procreation,,birth,,sustenance and Godliness. He paints Durga as the mother Goddess.

T .VAIKUNTAM paintings

"I like using rich primary colours, which give a sense of character and depth to my paintings. Like reds and saffron and even orange, because these are essentially Indian colours. I dont like using colours that are mix of two, because they are not natural, they dont exist in surroundings around us, in our everyday life."

He portrays women as sensual and voluptuous. The colours used to paint women give them a vibrant and decorative, look.

T. Vaikuntam hails from Andhra Pradesh, in South India, and draws a lot of inspiration for his work from the rural areas of the state

. The men and women of his village have often been depicted in his work. Women, in particular, are frequent subjects for his works

The male form appears remarkably calm, with a sense of humour. His work has a distinct rural flavour. In his work, he uses only primary colours. Most of his work is in tempera and watercolour, on paper.

After a long break I'm back again with

new creation and collection.One of my favourite artists.

Vaikuntam was born in Boorugupally, in Andhra Pradesh. He studied at the College of Fine Arts, Hyderabad and at the M. S. University in Baroda where he worked under the guidance of artist K.G. Subramanyan.

In a career that has spanned nearly 30 years, he has won several awards. His paintings are a part of several renowned collections and his works have been exhibited widely. Over the past five years, exhibitions of his works have been held in New York, London and Birmingham.

No other better use of these Bottles

Can anybody think what would have happen to these poor bottles in the bhangarwala's shop that day, if I have not gone there and purchase these poor things from him for Rs.5/- each.

Now they are standing in elegance. Showing off there figure to all of you.As if wearing a designer Saree and going out for a party.Don't you think we do injustice on these item's by just
ignoring them and throwing away.

I have requested all my friends and relatives to get me these kind of bottles if they notice anywhere.Already few of them have contributed in this madness but never mind just ignore those looks and support for good cause.
